As you may have heard, masks are now a requirement for both outdoor and indoor public places which started at 5 PM on Friday, June 26th. We’re glad to provide masks for our member and guests use at Launch Factory, if needed.

What this means for Launch Factory:

  • People are required to wear face coverings inside and outside where keeping 6 ft. distance is not suitable, especially in shared areas like cafes and conference rooms, unless an exception applies.

The follow information was pulled directly from this WSCO-TV article:

  • North Carolina defines a face covering as a covering of the nose and mouth that is secured to the head with ties, straps or loops over the ears or is simply wrapped around the lower face. According to the Executive Order, an ideal face covering has two or more layers. It can be factory-made, sewn by hand or can be improvised from household items such as scarfs, bandanas, T-shirts, sweatshirts or a towel. A face shield that covers the nose and mouth meets the face-covering requirements of North Carolina’s Executive Order.
  • Exceptions to the mask mandate: Medical or behavioral conditions; Children under 11; Eating and drinking; Strenuous exercise; When communicating with someone hearing impaired; Giving speeches for broadcast or for an audience; In personal vehicles; Working from home; To secure government or medical services for identification purposes; When safety is at risk; When it impedes the ability to operate equipment or a vehicle; When a child is unable to find a parent due to their mask
  • Anyone who declines to wear a face covering is not be required to produce documentation or any other proof of a condition. An honor system is in place.
  • Enforcement: Officers are not authorized to criminally enforce the mask requirements against individual workers, customers or patrons. However, citations can be issued to businesses or organizations that fail to enforce the requirement to wear masks. If a business does not allow entry to a worker or customer because they refuse to wear a mask, officers can enforce trespassing laws.

If you are sick, please stay home and follow the CDC guidelines which can be viewed here.

Launch Factory’s COVID-19 Response – Prevention Steps

  • Social Distancing
    • We’ve transformed our open coworking space to emulate “the-six-feet-office” by spacing our desks 6 ft. apart.
    • We’ve marked a one-way traffic pattern per suite to avoid doorway bottlenecks
    • Private office owners are asked to use their discretion for their team offices
  • Surface Cleaning
    • Our team sanitizes twice daily, once at 10 AM and once at 3-4 PM using certified disinfectants for use against SARS-CoV-2 (777-114) and PPE.
    • Disinfectants, sanitizer, and tissues are located at the entrance of each suite, as well as tissues placed throughout the coworking areas
  • Elevator Etiquette
    • Signs are posted to remind coworkers to provide ample space for others coming off the elevator and for others to be polite if riders want to go alone
  • Weekly Janitor Service
    • Every Wednesday and Sunday evening
    • Our team uses certified antibacterial and bleach solutions to clean community spaces, especially doorknobs, fridge, microwave handles
    • Lysol antibacterial aerosol is used at the end of each shift
  • Shared Dishware
    • Signs are posted for coworkers to rinse dishes off completely with hot running water before placing in dishwasher
    • We are temporarily placing individually wrapped silverware out on the counter for coworkers to use and then dispose after each use
  • Shared Conference Rooms
    • Our event room, Launch Pad, is limited to group sizes of 10 or fewer until further notice
    • In compliance with social distancing, signs posted in our conference rooms will state whether the room is limited to 2, 3 or 4 people

Optional touchless thermometer at the entry of Suite 310 by the disinfecting products:

As we continue to keep our community safe and start to welcome back more members, we have placed a touchless thermometer at the entrance of Suite 310. This is for your employer’s use, or your personal use, to ensure your temperature is regular. Please use a sanitizing wipe to disinfect the handle after each use.

  • During this waiting period, we will open available outside doors and windows to increase air circulation in these areas.
  • Employee workstations near the infected coronavirus patient should self-quarantine and work remotely for 14 days and monitor their symptoms
