A building with a story & views of Uptown
Launch Factory was envisioned to bring shared offices to one of Charlotte’s oldest historic structures.
The General Dyestuff Building was constructed in 1939 and supported the textile industry. Originally German-owned and operated, the US government took control of the building in 1942, during World War II, because of its enemy affiliation.
Today, many of the original building elements remain – from the wooden beams and brick walls, to the large industrial windows and loading docks. One of the building entrances even goes through the original freight elevator.
In our common areas, you’ll find vintage photographs and samples of some of the original textiles. And from our oversized windows, you’ll get great Uptown Charlotte views.
